The Meaning of Number Four (4)
The meaning of number four – learn about the meaning and the magic behind 4. Discover a very simple way to use this number to improve the quality of your life.
Introduction
Not long ago, I went through a small but disturbing incident. The details about the incident are not important. The key is that it served me as a gentle wake-up call. Having so many spiritual tools handy, I went straight into discovering how I attracted the unfortunate event and what were some of its great lessons.
Interestingly, as I went to sleep that night, right before I completely switched off, I heard repeatedly in my head the word “four” (as the number 4). I was too tired to get up and write it down and prayed to remember it in the morning.
A few days later, I was reminded about this number again. As I started my morning meditation that day, I asked my guides for more clarity on the significance of four. Soon enough, answer after answer started coming up through my automatic writing.
There were so many valuable insights into the significance and importance of this number. In this article, I present one of the answers that came through my channeling experience.
The meaning and magic of the number four
[a channeled message]
As Divine beings, we often decide to have physical experiences in the physical plane of the planet Earth. That is, for many different reasons, our Souls reincarnate by compressing into the form of a human body. To be able to exist in the human form, we need six key components. Four of these are directly related to the physical realm. In no particular order, these include the body, the ego, the soul, and the energy. There is no order in which to examine each of these components because they coexist together and are of equal importance.
1. Body
Our body is the vessel we use to have a temporary physical life. It is a tool that helps us to see life from a quite different perspective. When we are focused on the non-physical realm, we have no limitations and often imagine creations and solutions that are of great service. Everything is possible and nothing is impossible in the non-physical. It is important to understand that in the non-physical, we exist at a high vibrational frequency.
In the physical world, however, everything is compressed at a much lower vibrational level. In a way, this presents an obstacle to the realization of so many great ideas and creations. No wonder, we want to experience so many things firsthand. And the human body presents the necessary tool to do so.
The body has multidimensional feelings and senses
One of the greatest advantages of the body is its ability to have multidimensional feelings and senses. For example, most bodies can interpret the physical world through their eyes and ears in a unique way. They can touch, sense and differentiate between different surfaces and temperatures. They can taste and smell and can form an opinion based on these pure physical senses. Although the perceived information is limited, it is still valuable because it gives a real check of what is possible and could be improved given the current evolutionary development of the planet.
Another fascinating feature of the human body is its ability to focus on one sense at a time. Humans can ignore everything else and focus only on what they see, hear, touch, etc. This allows for more detailed information to be received and analyzed. Sometimes, the soul uses this information to make decisions on the spot for learning and expanding. Other times, the soul and their supporting Divine teams use this as a way to improve the human body so it serves in a better way.
2. Ego
Another aspect of the meaning of the number four is the ego. Often, the ego is being downrated and labelled as something negative and bad. Still, many humans do not realize that the ego was created out of love and has an important function (which is discussed below). Many people, however, use their egos as an excuse for not taking responsibility.
That is, instead of realizing that everything that they encounter is a result of their attitude and focus, they helplessly blame the ego for limiting them or preventing them from living a prosperous life. This, however, is far from the truth.
The purpose of the ego is to keep the body alive. The ego’s objective is not spirituality, self-discovery, freedom, comfort, etc. The ego is not designed to care about all these. That’s your soul’s role. The ego’s role is to keep the body alive at all costs because if the body dies, the whole mission ends, and the soul would need to start the process from scratch.
What many people do is give their willpower away by believing that the ego runs the show, makes the decisions and attracts certain experiences. This is simply hiding their heads in the sand and pretending the issues don’t exist anymore. The ego doesn’t have any ability to do such great things. The ego is a simple tool with a simple mission.
The Ego is like a fire alarm
Think of the ego as a fire alarm. If there is smoke and/or fire, the alarms go on immediately. This often includes the water sprinklers. The moment there is even the slightest suspicion of a fire, the alarm goes on. The alarm doesn’t care what’s going on in the house. It doesn’t care if it’s a happy or depressed household. It doesn’t know the difference. The alarm cannot attract fire, it merely indicates that there is a fire. The alarm does what it is designed for – keeps the house alive for as long as possible.
The same applies to the ego. It is like a fire alarm. If something is about to go wrong, it will indicate immediately by attracting all of your attention and directing you to safety.
You don’t think the fire alarm controls your life but tend to listen for its signals. In fact, you don’t assume that there is a fire whenever the alarm is beeping. You have put a system in place to warn you when the batteries are down, when there is smoke and when there is an actual fire. Do the same with the signals your ego sends out. Don’t let these control your life but pay attention to the type of signals. Is the ego simply telling you that your energy level is low and you need to recharge? Is the ego asking you to pay more attention and examine your environment before making a decision? Or, your ego is screaming “FIRE!” and is commanding you to run as fast as possible?
3. Soul
You are a soul, a consciousness. When you are born in a physical body, part of you is compressed down to the vibration level of the physical world. From this point of view, you can have quite different experiences and contribute to the evolution of the planet. We often say that as a human, you have free will. This free will applies to the soul that is you and that is temporarily locked in the body.
The reason for that is that the physical world has some great limitations due to its lower vibrational frequency. It’s not a bad or a good thing. That’s just how it works at the moment. So, when the soul is having the physical experience, it often discovers that creation and manifestation are limited in so many ways.
In other words, before its reincarnation, the soul would have some ideas of what it wants to experience, create or accomplish. Once it’s born, however, it might hit roadblocks. These roadblocks are the reason why the reincarnated part of the soul has free will. It can decide how to proceed, what to do or not to do.
To help navigate through the limitations of the physical world, the soul has developed a communication system with the non-physical (so-called, Divine realm). This system consists of various feelings. For instance, when a soul is following its pre-determined path, the human feels happy, loved, safe, hopeful, etc. In contrast, when the human is in a state of disconnection and aimless wandering, it feels anxious, fearful, angry and even depressed.
The system of feelings is one of the greatest communication systems ever created. To work, however, it relies heavily on energy.
4. Energy
Energy is another component that gives meaning to the number four. Everything in the physical and non-physical realms is energy. You are energy, your body is energy, the planet is energy, and our communication with you is energy. You name it, it’s energy. The difference comes in the way we all perceive energy.
When we are in the non-physical world, we experience energy at a higher vibrational frequency. When we are compressed in a physical body, inevitably, we experience energy at a lower vibrational frequency. This makes us see and feel hard surfaces, differentiate between sweet and bitter, use so many different languages, etc.
The most important point, which often is the hardest to comprehend, is that we can modify the energy in a way that serves us and others. The issue comes from the fact that energy can be modified only at a higher vibrational frequency. When the soul is limited in a physical body, it takes some additional effort to elevate to the required vibrational levels.
Taking additional efforts is not to say that it is impossible. Rest assured that it is possible. The additional efforts often come in the form of mediation (which takes willpower, time and intention), appreciation, and mindfulness. All souls that are having a physical experience can reach the required frequency by practicing these simple techniques. For many of you, it might require some practice and consistency to get into the routine, but this is all.
How to use number 4 daily
The meaning of the number four is to help us have more joyous life experiences. In simple terms, when you want to make a decision or accomplish something, try to run it through the point of view of the four components – body, ego, soul and energy. If the decision serves equally all four parts, it is a good one and would lead to miracles. If the decision, however, is in favour of one or two of these components, it is out of alignment and would not result in absolute happiness and joy.
Let’s go through an example.
Should I quit my job or stay where I am?
What if you are working at a place for what feels like a long time? Perhaps for more than 10 years? A new job opportunity just crossed your path and you wonder whether to take it or pass it. Let’s use the meaning of the number four to help us make the decision.
In your journal, dedicated notebook or a piece of paper, write down the following four questions about our current job:
- Is my current job good for my body in terms of physical, mental and emotional health?
- Is my ego sensing any dangers?
- Do I feel happy, lively, satisfied, prosperous, etc.?
- Am I able to express my creativity freely and in a way that is serving me and others?
Repeat the same questions but for the new job opportunity. Answer the two sets of questions honestly and without much thinking. If possible, meditate beforehand by setting the intention to answer these questions honestly. The results might surprise you. Go with the choice that satisfies all four components.
It is important to note that not always you will have the opportunity to assess a choice or situation in terms of the four key elements. If you have a case like that, know that this is a great learning opportunity. Whether it is an opportunity to cleanse your belief system, learn to trust your inner guide (or Divine team), or create your reality, take it with an open mind and heart. Every opportunity to learn is for your highest good.
When learning or growing, aim to find the balance between the four components. Let these four keys be your guidance on whether or not you are in alignment with your highest purpose.
And, if something unfortunate happens, take a moment to reflect on which of these components are ignored or favoured over the others.
How about you? In what situation you can apply the meaning of the number four? How can you improve your life by using this simple technique? Start with something small and record your accomplishment. Be the deliberate creator here, on Earth 🙂
